Abstract
#1071 Stamped Rockwoods Studio Note the two wheel Department of Sanitation cart and the "White Wing." The number on the cart looks like 222 (or maybe 232?), and the insignia behind the wheel is headed by a "B." Borough? Brooklyn? Bronx? This appears to be an Italian neighborhood - Grosseria Italiana at right and Luigi Cila, Shoemaker, across the street (the boot looks as if it's in front of the hou se next door but it's actually hangind out over the sidewalk). The number on the shoemaker shop is 238, the next, left foreground, is 240. But what street is it? And what is the small square structure at the top of the street? The 5 story building at the left has the date 1905. Judging by the button shoes on the little girl at the left and the clothes the women are wearing, the picture could have been taken 1910-1915.
