Nurses' Family Health Series: Tuberculosis Album -- Nurse Teaching Mrs. Balton to Dispose of Waste
CSS Description
Mrs. Balton is taught that the newspaper wrapped package is burned whenever possible, otherwise the tissues can be flushed down the toilet and the paper bag container can then be wrapped and tied securely and placed in a garbage pail.(It is an added safeguard to sprinkle the inside of the bag with chloride of lime. Warm soapy water or chloride of lime can be used to clean the toilet bowl. Good hygiene calls for washing the garbage pail with warm soapy water each time it is emptied.)
