Mr. Balton has been admitted to the hospital and after his room is aired, cleaning begins. The bedding and mattress are taken to the roof or yard to air in the direct sunlight for at least six hours on each side. The pillow is wrapped in newspaper before carrying it outside to sun with the other bed clothing.(If it is contaminated with sputum it is safer to burn it.)
